This square works two ways. Set it diagonally over a solid floor-length tablecloth on a round guest table for a layered, country-style look, or use it on its own to cover a small square table. What Size Table Does a 70"x70" Square Fit?
The “drop” is how far the fabric hangs down from the edge of the tabletop. The figures below are approximate and calculated from the 70" size.
As an overlay on round tables: Lay it over a floor-length base tablecloth, either squared up or turned so the corners point down like a diamond.
- 48" round: About an 11" drop at the sides and about 26" at the corners.
- 54" round: About an 8" drop at the sides and about 22" at the corners.
- 60" round: About a 5" drop at the sides and about 19" at the corners.
- 72" round: The sides sit about 1" short of the table edge, so a little of the base cloth shows on top. The corners drop about 14".
As a tablecloth on square tables:
- 36" square table: About a 17" drop on all four sides.
- 48" square table: About an 11" drop on all four sides.

Prep Before Your Event
Expect some creases when you first unpack it. Polyester can be pressed with an iron on a low setting or smoothed with a steamer, which is the quicker option if you’re touching up overlays at the venue.
Care and Cleaning
This overlay is machine washable and dryable. Don’t use bleach.

Use cold or warm water and a mild detergent, dry on low heat, and pull it from the dryer right away so creases don’t set. Leave out fabric softener, which leaves residue on polyester.
